Fellow Team Australia team mate, dinos22 (Dino Strkljevic) gets some national press coverage in The Sydney Morning Herald article by Asher Moses titled – “Geek extremists keep cool with liquid nitrogren”.
Dino will be flying to Taiwan on September 25, 2008 to represent Team Australia at Gigabyte Overclocking Competition 2008. Originally, fellow team mate pro/youngpro (James Trevaskis) was to accompany Dino but had to pull out to to receive treatment for his recently diagnosed leukemia.
Team Australia’s representation at the competition doesn’t end there as team mate T_M (Tim Marshall) will also be at the event resprenting the Singaporean team (Tim currently resides in Singapore). Check out the article here. You can post your comments on the forums here.
Last weekend I was once again honored to participate in an international overclocking competition on behalf of Team.AU (Team Australia).
This time contestants from around the Asia-Pacific region gathered in Jakarta Indonesia, home to some great overclocking talent and may I say one of the finest overclocking event organizers, Benny Lodewijk and his team at PT.Nusantara Eradata. Sponsored by Gigabyte, nVidia, Intel, and a foray of other great hardware companies the platform was set for another extreme overclocking face-off.
Josh (moloko) and Dino (dinos22) from Team.AU got the opportunity to visit Corsair Fremont HQ and receive a tour of the facilities. We were also accompanied by no other than Charles Wirth (aka FUGGER > owner of Xtreme Systems Forum).
First thing is first, Corsair guys made us wear some loony jackets
and slapped some anti-static slippers
(perfect for us i must say) >> very pedantic and i must say i liked that. They look after this stuff and pay a lot of attention to detail and quality from what we could see.
