3DMark SLI + PCMark05 + FSB + 8400 Frequency World Records!

After returning from HongKong Asus Overclocking Championship, I had alot to prove to myself. I did this by taking four world records in a day!

1. new FSB wr, 734mhz
Lowering the NB temperature from -188 to -130 really helped me gain the 10mhz I needed.

2. E8400 frequency WR, 6213mhz
Newbeetle just posted an amazing speed with this motherboard but luckily my little board just had the steam to overhaul it.

dinos22 takes 6128MHz with E8500, Biostar P45 & Corsair DDR2 PC10000 Dominators

Biostar proved yet again that it´s capable of ultra high FSB and some serious overclocks and efficiency with sweet E8500 CPU. This kind of benching rig cannot be paired with anything else other than a monster DDR2 kit. Corsair DDR2 PC10000 Dominators were used in this instance

Test Configuration:

Biostar TPower P45 board
1.88-1,92vcore, 2.68vdimm, 1.69vMCH, 1.47vFSB
Intel Core2 Duo E8500 Q740A497
2GB DDR2 PC10000 Corsair DOMINATORS
(645MHz 1:1 4-4-4-8 timings)
PCI GFX Card MX200
620W Corsair PSU
Stock heatsink on NB (LN2 cooled with small pours)
kingpin F1 Extreme Edition Solid copper CPU LN2 Pot
Big mamma 35L LN2 Dewar
160GB PATA
Windows XP Pro 32bit SP3

This CPU is a monster. It was able to handle -150C and it benchmarked at 6GHz 1M Superpi

Even though this board was a monster fsb clocker i was still fsb limited….. :)

Triple SLI testing begins with Foxconn Dreadnought and 3 Nvidia GTX280s

A few weeks ago I recieved 3 Foxconn GTX280 cards and the highly anticipated Foxconn Dreadnought 790i motherboard.

After some intial testing, working out cpu maximum speed in vantage and testing each card individually it was time to approach the holy grail of of 3D benchmarking, 3DMark Vantage Triple SLI!

Setup:

Foxconn Dreadnought 790i
3x Foxconn GTX280
Corsair Dominator PC14400 sticks
Silverstone 1000OP
Featuring tek9 4.0s gpu and astra cpu pot

Some serious runs will be complete in the next two weeks, for now you will have to settle for two scary images ;)

Youngpro and Biostar Tpower I45 take FSB world record! 724mhz

The biostar tpower i45 arrived a while ago after building a big reputation of high fsb. This was my goal, to achieve the maximum FSB I could, initially I was hoping for 650mhz.

I put my setup on phase change with my mate Andy (tuchans) crucial ballistix and immediately we were able to achieve 682mhz fsb. AMAZING! Northbridge was still on air and cpu at -40.

Next up of course had to be an attempt at 700mhz, to do this we put the northbridge on Ln2 @ -188 celcius, the CPU @ -130 degrees celcius and even put LN2 directly on the ram with tin foil! The result an amazing 724mhz and the front side bus overall world record.

Setup:

Biostar Tpower I45 w/ nb pot @ -188
Intel E8500 cpu w/ cpu pot @ -130
Crucial Ballistix 8500 sticks
FX5500 gpu
Silverstone 1000OP

Youngpro takes 3DMark01 World Record!!

Yesterday I fired up the 9650, Foxconn Blackops x48 and 9800gx2, the results were very pleasing. My main benching goal has been achieved, the 3dmark01 world record!

System:

9650 @ 5820mhz (445 * 13) with Astra @ -140
Corsair Dominator pc14400 rams @ 895 6-6-3-5-16 1T
Foxconn Blackops X48 @ PL6
Foxconn 9800GX2 with Tek9 4.0 @ 1015 core, 2370 shader, 1050 rams

Id really like to thank Foxconn for all their support, the blackops is certainly an impressive motherboard. I’d also like to thank Gigabyte, even though this score wasnt done on a Gigabyte board, they have done alot for me aswell! Their new board will sure be this exciting too!

Foxconn Dreadnought next for 3d01 sli!

T_M Does 3DMark Single Card Damage

T_M’s second session with an nVidia 9800GX2 on LN2, and is pretty happy in general with the first set of full 3D suite results.
GPU clocks vs OCP was a constant battle, with ‘06 able to do significantly higher clocks than the rest at the same temp and volts.

With only 30L LN2 no time was wasted to get the full set of tests covered, so none are particularly optimised (definately not ‘01 heh).

dinos22 benchmarks Nvidia 790i Ultra SLI Flagship motherboard past 600MHz FSB (5.7GHz) on LN2

dinos22 tested Nvidia’s latest motherboard recently, namely, 790i Ultra SLI chipset with some amazing results. Nvidia worked very hard to improve FSB OC capabilities.

Test Configuration:
Nvidia Reference Board 790i Ultra SLI
(stock board, no mods)
Intel Core2 Duo E8500 Q745A703
(1.74-1.81vcore used)
2GB DDR3 Corsair Dominators PC14400
(1.96vdimm DMM measured)
PCI Express Nvidia 8800GT
620W Corsair PSU
kingpin F1 Extreme Edition Solid copper CPU LN2 Pot
Big mamma 35L LN2 Dewar
80GB SATA Hard Drive
Windows XP Pro 32bit

Looks like 5.7GHz (600MHz FSB) easy & with a bit of tweaking and wresting 5.8GHz may be possible. These are just some sneak peak results. More information and benchmark results will follow once embargo lifts later this month.
